Greyhound Betting: Razza will bale up the field

Betfair's The Formhound has his eye on Graeme Bate's Razza Bale at Geelong on Friday night.

Graeme Bate's reputation as a greyhound trainer is legendary.

He is supplied with ready-made youngsters straight off Paul Wheeler's huge breeding and rearing kennel at Young.

One of the recent additions to Bate's Lara complex is Razza Bale (race 1), which, after finding trouble at her first two starts, showed her potential with a fine 30.27 Maiden heat win on her home track at Geelong last week.

The daughter of hot sire Dyna Lachlan, a multiple Group winner, has to contend with the seven alley, but if she runs up to expectations, the black bitch should start punters off on the right foot by winning the first event over the 520 metres trip.

Another of Bate's youngsters steps out in the fifth event over the 520 metres distance.

Kevin Bale had won five of his dozen starts before Tuesday night's impressive BON 27.26-victory over the tough Horsham 480 metres circuit.

Impeccably bred, this black son of Go Wild Teddy and the prolific producer Amity Bale saluted on this track last week, but over the shorter 460-metrs trip in another BON performance.

His two previous exits from this wide alley were disappointing but he has matured since those outings and will appreciate the slight drop in class.
