Dominic Beirne, our horse betting In-Former, brings you his Friday preview, focussing on some of the big weekend races at Morphetville and Gold Coast.

All eyes will be on Adelaide again this weekend for the running of the Group One South Australian Derby where Strike the Stars ($4.80) will start favourite after running fourth in the ATC Derby last start.

In his exclusive preview for Betfair punters, Dominic Beirne says of Strike the Stars, "now the challenge is for the Anthony Cummings stayer to bring his A-game to Adelaide, having already had 5 starts this prep. If he does, he will win the Derby."

In the Group Two A.D. Hollindale Stakes at the Gold Coast, Beirne was taken by 'the old marvel' Scenic Shot ($11) who is fifth-up after running third in Listed company last start. Dominic also likes Fillydelphia ($11) at good odds in the Listed Prime Minister's Cup.
