"Federer can stop Djokovic and his quest for five consecutive grand slam titles"
It's the clash most wish was being played in the final, but there's one stat Brad Thompson thinks could give Roger Federer the edge in his semi-final clash with Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon.
Federer v Djokovic
Federer has won six times at Wimbledon, and although he is not the dominant force he once was, he still shouldn't be at odds of $3.25 for a semi-final on his favoured surface.
Admittedly, Djokovic has improved his game on grass in recent years significantly - outlined when he took out Wimbledon last year.
But chinks remain in his armour on the surface, and Federer is just the savvy tactician to exploit them.
All the talk leading into the latter stages of the tournament was Federer's back injury.
But he dispelled any notion it was serious enough to curtail his championship at the quarter final stage, demolishing World No. 8 Mikhail Youzhny in straight sets, losing just five games.
Federer can stop Djokovic and his quest for five consecutive grand slam titles - back Federer at odds of $3.25 to surprise the World No. 1. It won't be an easy task for Federer, and Djokovic won't go down without a fight - so also lay the three sets in the 'Number of Sets' market at $3 too.
