Henin...seems more at peace, which will help her play her best in what will surely be a pressure-cooker match.
Belgian star Justine Henin will claim her second Australian Open on Saturday, predicts Tony Keen.
Serena Williams (USA) vs. Justine Henin (BEL)
Four-time Australian Open winner Serena Williams was made to work hard in her semi-final against 16th seed Lia Na, eventually prevailing, 7-6 (7-4) 7-6 (7-1), in a match that lasted just over two hours.
The world number now faces Justine Henin, who booked her place in the Australian Open women's final, just her second tournament after a short-lived retirement, with a clinical 6-1 6-0 win over 35th ranked Zheng Jie.
These two tennis dynamos have met on 13 occasions, with Williams holding a 7-6 advantage. They have never met in the final of a grand slam before, but they have faced each other six times during grand slam tournaments.
Henin has won four of these meetings, including the last three.
Throughout the tournament, the diminutive Belgian has shown she has not lost any of the mental toughness in her second coming as a tennis player. She seems also more at peace, which will help her play her best in what will surely be a pressure-cooker match.
These women boast quite contrasting styles. Williams relies on sheer power while Henin is arguably the most graceful player on the women's tour. She will use this to try and move the world number one around, attacking the net as much as possible in a bid to end Williams' unbeaten run in Melbourne Park deciders.
In the past, finals that have been talked up in the media as much as this one often tend to fail to live up to their billing, but this contest will exceed the hype, and then some.
Expect Henin to get over the line in an epic three-setter, thanks to her wiles, ferocity and classy stroke play.
