All-Belgian Women's Final a possibility

Tony Keen sees the distinct possibility of Belgian duo Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin facing each other in the Australian Open Women's Final.

Justine Henin is without a doubt the most dangerous wildcard in the history of the Australian Open

Clijsters and Henin in good form.

Kim Clijsters, who quit tennis in May 2007, has been incredibly successful in her comeback.

Since returning last year, the 26-year-old has played five tournaments, winning three of them.

The most significant of those wins came in September at the US Open where she became the first mother to win a grand slam since Evonne Goolagong-Cawley in 1980.

Justine Henin is without a doubt the most dangerous wildcard in the history of the Australian Open.

The seven-time grand slam winner reached the final of the Brisbane International - her first tournament in 20 months - where she went down to fellow countrywoman Clijsters in an epic three-set encounter.

The diminutive Belgian defeated some quality opponents on her way to that final, including world No. 20 Nadia Petrova in the first round and former world number one Ana Ivanovic.

The victories against top-notch opposition will give Henin belief in her game after such a long period away from tennis, and with her quality stroke play and fighting qualities she is a scary proposition for the rest of the women's draw.

Belgian pair won't fear Serena Williams.

World number one Serena Williams will deservedly head into the Open as favourite given she has won four of the past six Australian Opens, including last year's tournament where she dropped just three games to overwhelmed Russian Dinara Safina.

However, facing the youngest of the Williams sisters will hold no fears for either Clijsters or Henin.

Clijsters won her most recent encounter with Williams - a semi-final at the US Open - in controversial circumstances after Williams received a second code violation on match point for abusing a linesperson who 'foot-faulted' her.

While Clijsters won the match in a less than orthodox fashion, she first had to get into a winning position in order for such an event to occur, so she will take some confidence from that result.

Meanwhile, Henin is one of the few players on the women's tour with a comparable head-to-head record against Williams, having won six of her 13 matches against the 11-time grand slam champion.

In the event that Clijsters and Henin are placed in opposite sides of the draw, it would be well worth the risk to put money on both of them reaching the final as they are playing with confidence and know what it takes to win big games of tennis.
