With Sportsbet, you need never lose the chance of backing your personal favourites to win.
Many times, punters only realise that they have lost the chance of cashing in when they see that a horse they always back has won a race.

But Sportsbet gives customers a helping hand in knowing when their favourite horses and greyhounds are running, thanks to their Black Book service. Customers can register up to 30 entries and, the evening before their horses or greyhounds run, they are sent an email. Sportsbet will also send an SMS on the morning of the event after a scratching.

Racing wagers can be placed online or over the phone - the minimum bet with Sportsbet online is $1, and $20 on the phone. First Four, Place Cards and the latest bet product Lucky Loser are available on selected race meetings.

The Lucky Loser feature applies to Wednesdays and Saturdays and special race day meetings, and allow punters to cheer home a loser. Customers simply pick one horse in each race listed on the Lucky Loser race card that they believe will be unplaced - if they are right they win, and the biggest payout in this market netted almost $9,000 on three bets.
Sportsbet offers members free thoroughbred racing form for all Australian TAB meetings and free greyhound racing form for all meetings apart from Victorian fields.

Customers can select a City Best Plus option when placing throughbred win and each way wagers online for metropolitan meetings - Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth - to receive the better of the dividend declared by the three Australian TABs or the starting price.
Another Sportsbet option is Country Best, available for all other throughbred races including New Zealand race meetings for win, place and each-way wagers. Country Best is the best dividend of the Vic and NSW TABs for win, place and each-way wagers.

Sportsbet offers the traditional fixed odds markets, available online approximately 20 minutes before the advertised start time.

And there is a Top Fluc option, giving the top bookmarker's odds on a specified runner. These are available for metropolitan meetings, for bets placed prior to 12:00pm AEST or 30 minutes prior to the advertised start time, whichever comes first.

Sportsbet offers markets on selected Hong Kong, South African, New Zealand and English races on the internet and over the phone.

Among the other interesting options are Head to head - where the punter chooses two runners head to head from the selections available - and Jockey Challenge - available on selected meetings and decided on a 3, 2, 1 points scoring system.

Sportsbet offers first-time customers a 20% free bet, allowing users up to a $100 free bet for any wager on a race - win or place bet type - or any sport event type.
That is not the only free bet offer through Sportsbet: any existing customer will receive a free bet if they refer a new member who deposits funds.

In sports betting, Sportsbet offers the chance to combine a selection of single bets together. These MultiBets are available with anything from two to 13 legs, and can include such sports as AFL, NRL, golf, soccer and tennis.

To compare the sporting bet sites, we have taken a sample of the odds of three different sports events.

Sportsbet quote North Melbourne at 41.00 to win the flag in the AFL; they go 1.57 about Queensland to win the State of Origin this year; their odds on Phil Mickelson to win the US Masters are 8.00.
