The Raiders put Newcastle's play-off future in jeopardy after beating them 30-14 on Monday night, writes Andy Morris.
The Raiders, who took an early lead and never looked back, forced the Knights into a winner-takes-all match with the Panthers next round to secure the final play-off spot.
Two Phil Graham tries, making it 42 in 50 Canberra Stadium appearances - led the way for the Raiders, while Cooper Vuna touched down twice for the Knights.
Hazem El Masri left the Bulldogs on a high after they secured top spot with a 40-20 win over the Warriors.
Brett Kimmorley was injured after just six minutes at ANZ Stadium, but the Bulldogs were able to shrug off the loss as Josh Morris scored a hat-trick of tries in the space of eight minutes.
It was El Masri's last home appearance for the club after 314 games and he converted all four tries as well as adding two penalty goals.
The Sea Eagles left it late to secure an 18-16 win over the Sharks at Brookvale Oval.
The Sharks seemed on a downer after prop Luke Douglas was sent off for a high shot in the 27th minute, but bounced back and led by two point with less than two minutes on the clock.
But the Sea Eagles rode their luck and centre Ben Farrar crossed wide out to seal the comeback victory.
The Titans also earned a come-from-behind win, beating the Wests Tigers 36-24 at Skilled Park.
The Tigers scored twice in the opening 10 minutes only for the Titans to reply and move within four points by the break.
The Titans took advantage of some mistakes by Wests in the second half to seal the deal.
The Dragons suffered a third straight loss, to leave their minor premiership hopes severely dented, as the Rabbitohs beat them 41-6 at ANZ Stadium.
The Dragons completed just nine of 20 sets before the break, allowing the Rabbitohs to lead 19-6 after the first half.
A further four unanswered tries in the second half completed the shock win, which was Souths' biggest ever against a Dragons side.
The Storm maintained their top four spot with a 38-4 win over the Roosters.
They led 18-0 at the break as Greg Inglis marked his return from suspension with a try in each half.
Steve Turner also scored two tries, while Cam Smith landed five goals.
The Broncos beat the Cowboys 16-10 at Dairy Farmers Stadium, ending North Queensland's season.
It was a fourth win on the trot for the Broncos, in what was a poor game.
The Cowboys led 10-4 at half time but the Broncos dominated the second half to secure a deserved win.
The Eels went above Penrith after beating them 48-6 at Parramatta Stadium.
Penrith had hoped to secure a play-off spot with a victory, but conceded three unanswered tries in the first half and there was no way back.
Full-back Jarryd Hayne set up three of the Eels' eight tries.
