St George Illawarra closed in on the minor premiership by posting a 26-12 win over Melbourne at WIN Jubilee Oval, writes Andy Morris.
The Dragons ran in three unanswered tries in the second half, having trailed by four points at half time.
Wendell Sailor scored two tries while Jamie Soward set up four of his side's five tries.
The Bulldogs started poorly but finished well as they consolidated second spot on the ladder by beating South Sydney 26-18.
The Rabbitohs led by 12-0 after just 14 minutes and retained an eight-point lead at half time, but the Bulldogs posted 16 unanswered points after the break.
Hazem El Masri was one of the stars for the Bulldogs as he finished with 16 points, while Bryson Goodwin scored his 16th try in 17 matches.
Queensland honours went to the Cowboys in the match-up against the Titans at Skilled Park.
North Queensland beat the Titans 34-18 on the back of an outstanding period of play where they went 22-0 ahead.
The Cowboys' defence was magnificent and they scored six tries to three.

They led by 26 points at one stage before the Panthers came back to finish with a 32-32 extra-time draw.
The Warriors led by 32-6 when Lewis Brown went over for the Warriors' fifth try of the night, but the Panthers posted four tries in 20 minutes before a late penalty goal to Michael Gordon brought them level.
The Warriors could still have won the match, but Lance Hohaia's field goal attempt from 38 metres came back off the crossbar.
The Roosters scored one of the most unexpected wins of the season as they beat Newcastle 30-12 at Energy Australia Stadium.
Craig Fitzgibbon scored a try and kicked five from five to secure the Roosters' sixth win in a row at Newcastle.
The Raiders scored an emphatic 56-0 win over the Broncos at Canberra Stadium, scoring seven tries in the second half.
The loss makes it even more likely that the Broncos will miss the finals for the first time since 1991- they currently sit two points out of the top eight.
The Eels are still in the hunt for the finals after beating the Sharks 30-0 at Toyota Stadium.
Jarryd Hayne scored two tries for the Eels, who had turned around 10-0 ahead and run in three further unanswered tries in the second half.
