Will Don't Tell Sailor score at Uttoxeter?
Don't Tell Sailor is clearly well handicapped based on an improved hurdling effort at Hexham last week and the way he jumped there augurs well for his chasing prospects.
In the hotseat today is Graham Cunningham who keeping a close eye on these three jumps horses.
We are firmly into that crossover period between Flat and jumps at present and, with that in mind, I'll be taking things steadily today.
That said, a handful of jumpers definitely warrant a positive mention.
Steps To Freedom is a horse I'm really looking forward to seeing in Punchestown's 14:45. A very smart bumper horse, he thrived on the Flat this year and looks poised to win good races over hurdles based on his impressive jumping debut at Fairyhouse.
Don't Tell Sailor will be tough to beat in Uttoxeter's 15:10 if he handles the switch to fences. He's clearly well handicapped based on an improved hurdling effort at Hexham last week and the way he jumped there augurs well for his chasing prospects.
Last but not least we have Rathlin in Punchestown's 15:45. This gelding, who has left Philip Rothwell to join Mouse Morris, has long appealed as a horse with high potential over fences.
I'll probably watch rather than bet today given the strength of the opposition but Rathlin is a bright prospect both for the short and medium term.
