RACE NOTES:

Rangirangdoo was a well-supported favourite, backed from $3.55 into a starting price of $2.36 following the scratching of Zipping. Scenic Shot was firm all the way throughout pre-post betting. 

Again, with the result looking likely a fair way from home, Scenic Shot was the only runner to attract significant trading in-the-run.  $3,000 was matched on him at odds of $1.01.

 Following the Mackinnon, Viewed is now a clear favourite to win the Melbourne Cup: $4.70 in Betfair's ante post market.

 RACE NOTES:

 Rockferry was heavily backed, from odds of $5.50 into $4.20; $558,000 traded on him alone. Eventual winner Monaco Consul was well supported also: $5.20 into $3.76, his lowest matched price.

 In-running betting was popular in the 2500m race, with more than $25,000 traded. Monaco Consul was matched at $8.20 - more than double his starting price - during the event. 

 Monaco Consul was also matched as high as $11 in Betfair's ante post Victoria Derby market.

Winner: TYPHOON TRACY

RACE NOTES:

 Typhoon Tracy was clearly the popular selection in this race, and tightened from $2.76 to a low of $2.18 accordingly.  Lady Lynette was only other notable firmer: $17.50 into $11. 

Upon briefly being trapped wide in the early stages, Typhoon Tracy was matched at a high price of $3.  And punters had no hesitation in taking the shorts once she was several lengths clear.

RACE NOTES: 

Some of the more notable wins in this race went to shrewd in-running punters: layers who managed to have bets taken at prices as low as $1.11 on runner-up Turffontein as he burst clear of the peloton on the Grandstand side, and; backers of Eagle Falls who snaffled $10 odds in the run at around the same time. 

First Command was a solid favourite throughout pre-race betting, opening at $2.50, drifting to $3.10 and trimming again into $2.58.
