Maligned jockey Danny Nikolic will look to put another tumultuous week to the back of his mind when he continues his association with lightly-raced Pinwheel.

Trained by Peter Snowden, the son of Lonhro will tackle the Show County Quality Handicap (1200m) on Saturday on his home track.

Pinwheel is yet to miss a place from 12 starts, boasting six wins to his name, including a last start win at the Grafton Cup Carnival in the Ramornie Handicap.

Prior to the win, Pinwheel was no match for future stars of the turf, Hay List and Love Conquers All.

Pinwheel tuned up for Saturday's assignment with an easy fifth in a barrier trial at Warwick Farm over 800m on Monday.

He has been defeated just three times over the 1200m journey, and is undefeated at the Warwick Farm circuit.

One of the dangers in the race is Stryker carrying just 53.5kg.

Pinwheel will be asked to carry 55kg, with the topweight being allocated to Triple Honour (61kg).

Interesting runners resuming include Dealer Principal and Rock Classic.

Dealer Principal showed up fresh last campaign, and is a galloper with untapped ability.
