There are obviously lots of punters who have washed their hands of Kim, but his price here does not befit the 2008 winner of the event.
Dan Geraghty's is getting behind a recent winner of this event at a three figure price - will you follow him?
I said last week that I am watching Anthony Kim's [150.0] progress with interest at the minute. Last week Kim narrowly missed the cut (by one stroke), his two rounds of 69 weren't without hope and give cause for optimism this week at a tournament in which he has a fantastic record. Kim finished 25th here on his debut in 2007 and followed that with a win and a third placed finish the following two years. There are obviously lots of punters who have washed their hands of Kim, but his price here does not befit the 2008 winner of the event. I see this week as the perfect opportunity to give Anthony one last chance at a huge price. It's top ten or bust my boy.
Charlie Wi [80.0] was putting together a decent first round at the Travelers last week, a few bogeys and a disappointing second round later and he had missed the cut on the number. However, Charlie was fourth here last year and he has a chance to put last week's disappointment behind him early, he's the first man out on the course on Thursday.
I've said it before, Gary Woodland [48.0] has the Tiger eyes. The guy is a winner. Woodland had no right to win on tour as early as he did, his game still needs a lot of polishing but he grabbed his chance with both hands. Some people shy away from the winning line, Woodland went looking for it, firing at every pin, willing his putts into the hole. There's an interesting article here on how Brad Faxon has been helping out with Woodland's short game...http://www.pgatour.com/tourreport/?http://tourreport.pgatour.com/2011/06/28/faxon-helps-woodland-with-putting/. Woodland seems to play well on tough golf courses and can follow his solid US Open showing (23rd) with a good week here.
Dangers: Jeff Overton has two top 10's in three appearances here, I think he'll win this year and rates my main danger. After watching young Patrick Cantlay tear it up last week, it'd come as no surprise to see the impressive American Amateur Peter Uhlein [650.0] impress with a good performance on his debut here this week. I think I'd rather chance Uhlein at [650.0] than the former at [120.0].
Rickie RoundUp: Rickie's back after a short injury break. He missed the cut on his debut here last year; still, best get him onside eh.
