The British Open Odds Update: Kaymer comes in as Woods eases
Tiger is moving out in the Open betting as the money comes in.
Betting has been brisk on Betfair's British Open winner market this morning as most punters make their first forays into the betting.
And Tiger Woods is the man they're after.
The three-time Open champion has moved out in the betting - only slightly - but anything is significant when you're talking about the man who has attracted just under half of the money (currently £502,040) in the market.
Woods is available at [3.7], having traded at [3.1] following his AT&T win last week.
Punters have understandably been keen on Martin Kaymer, winner of the last two European Tour events, but a touch of realism has entered the market. From a low of [32.0], the brilliant young German trades at [46.0].
Sergio Garcia, out of form and not having played this month, is next in the betting at [30.0].
Third favouritism is being fought by a trio of in-form Englishmen - Paul Casey, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood - who all trade at [34.0].
Locked on [38.0] are defending champion Padraig Harrington, Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson and Jim Furyk.
