The underrated Rao

Pune's disastrous mid tournament slump cost them dearly but they have picked up recently, winning two of their last four and it has to be said that on paper, they have the better team.

It's the battle of the basement in northern India as the IPL's worst two teams scrap to avoid the humiliation of finishing at the bottom of the heap.

Delhi
Delhi have shuffled their team regularly and will probably make one or two changes. Colin Ingram, Roelof van der Merwe and Andrew McDonald could all be in line for a recall and they may give one or two youngsters like Unmukt Chand a chance.

Pune
Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled tightly against Kolkata, but Pune do have the option of replacing him with Srikant Wagh. And surely Robin Uthappa should be coming in higher than Sourav Ganguly?

Match Odds
The market can't separate these two but preference is for the visitors at [1.85]. Pune's disastrous mid-tournament slump cost them dearly but they have picked up recently, winning two of their last four and it has to be said that on paper, they have the better team. That hasn't counted for much this tournament, but it should against a Delhi team in freefall without their talismanic captain. It isn't likely to be a classic, but the Warriors have enough to win and avoid finishing last.

Top Delhi Batsman
Venugopal Rao doesn't attract the headlines, but is a reliable performer at number 3 for Delhi and is a solid bet for top batsman at [4.5] or better

Best Bet:

Andrew Hughes says: Back Venugopal Rao to top score for Delhi @ 4.5
