Delhi Daredevils v Kings XI Punjab

IPL RSS / Editor / 22 April 2011 / Leave a comment Bet Now View Market

Delhi have home advantage in this local derby but very little else going for them.

Somehow Delhi start this match as favourites despite languishing at the bottom of the table after three defeats from four matches but that just makes the price on Punjab all the more tempting for Frank Gregan.

Delhi Daredevils

Delhi have decided to change the wicket at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground moving away from a low slow track to a much greener one which they hope will enable the ball to come on quicker to the bat. They need something to give them a lift, they are currently bottom of the table with only one win (against new boys Pune) and three defeats. Their biggest signing in this year's auction, all rounder Irfan Pathan, is struggling for form and the Daredevils need him and the top order which includes skipper Virender Sehwag to up their game if they are going to climb the table.

Kings XI Punjab
Adam Gilchrist's men got off to a sparking start against the Royals on Thursday and were easy victors courtesy of a majestical knock from Shaun Marsh. They are on a roll having won their last three matches after suffering a heavy opening defeat and unlike their opponents their confidence is sky high. Their bowling attack looks strong and varied with Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla likely to give the Daredevils batting line up a tough time.

Match Odds
Delhi have home advantage in this local derby but very little else going for them. They are in dire form, bottom of the table and have lost four of their previous six games against the visitors. Yet somehow Delhi are favourites at [1.75] whilst the Kings XI are available to back at [2.3]. Don't over-think it, just press the blue button and back Punjab.

Kings XI Punjab Innings Runs
Adam Gilchrist will receive first and will be looking to go over the top from the off and take advantage of the fielding restrictions. Kings XI scored 13 runs during their first over against the Royals on Thursday and came up one short when they scored nine runs in their previous game against Deccan. Odds of [4.0] or better should be available on them reaching the magic ten run figure.

Recommended Bet
Back Kings XI Punjab at [2.3]
