Big Brother Betting: Pamela Anderson enters the house

Baywatch star Pamela Anderson has replaced Brigitte in the Big Brother house as the final week of Big Brother betting approaches, writes James Heffield.

Brigitte, who received almost 30 per cent of the TV audience vote, was ejected from the house in a mid-week snap eviction on Wednesday, moments before the world's most famous blonde, Pamela Anderson, made her entry to the shock of tongue-tied housemates.

Pamela, who will be a fixture in the house until Saturday and won't be in the running to win, didn't give the housemates much time to mourn Brigitte's departure, joining them for their Wednesday night family dinner.

After all the questions housemates had thrown her way from the moment she walked in the door, it was Pamela's chance to put them in the hot-seat with a string of probing questions supplied by Big Brother.

Cornered, Rory labelled himself "a bad boy who's good at it", Ben spun Pamela his best pick-up line, and Terri impressed her with stories of her sand dune sexcapades.

After a jet-lagged Pamela left for the night, Brigitte appeared on the plasma screen to deliver her goodbye message and housemate hand grenade. After gifting her share of the $250,000 prize to Alice, the teary 21-year-old went from housemate to housemate, dishing out touching goodbye messages, thank-yous, and promises to catch up on the outside.

Even Rory, who copped Brigitte's housemate hand grenade, sentencing him to a diet of dull, unappetising food prepared by Big Brother, seemed touched by her goodbye message.

With little over a week to go and six housemates remaining, there are few things housemates and Big Brother betters can be sure of. All housemates are up for eviction this Sunday and anything could happen.

Perhaps the most willing to leave, if not the most likely, is legal-student Ben. Ben has been sentenced to live in the Kombi van in the house's backyard for disrespecting Big Brother and has been made to clean himself using a bucket and sponge, rather than in the shower, after he threw a softball and smashed a water pipe, wasting 4000 litres of water.

In Queensland's well documented drought conditions he will be waiting to see if the errant throw turns Queensland viewers against him.

Meanwhile, Terri, offering $2.02 to take out the competition, has bumped Travis, paying $3.95, from favourite position.

Serial nominee Rory, who less than two weeks ago was offering the second best odds to win the competition, is now an outsider at $15.
