Big Brother betting has reached the business end of season eight with Ben, Rory and Terri to face off for Big Brother's $250,000 prize, writes James Heffield.
Travis and Alice were ejected from the Big Brother house in a double eviction on Sunday night in an eerie repeat of Big Brother's 'Big Sting' early last week.
After Cherry's eviction on July 13, both Alice and Travis were nominated to leave the Big Brother house by their fellow housemates before Big Brother revealed their eviction had been a trick and returned them to the house.
Unfortunately for the pair, it seems TV audience voters may have been influenced by their housemates' decision to boot them from the Big Brother house in the 'Big Sting'.
This year's final three is an unlikely bunch. Terri was evicted on the first day before returning as party boy Corey Worthington's guardian. Ben, who has skated along under the radar for much of the competition, also came very close to being evicted on the first day, receiving only one vote less than the NSW nana, while Rory has been up for eviction more times than any other housemate.
Terri is a popular choice to take out this year's competition with punters, voters, and current and former housemates alike.
The 52-year-old may have seemed an unlikely choice for the final three at the beginning of the competition but her straight-talking, gritty determination and easy fit with her much younger Big Brother housemates have endeared her to Australia's voting public and earned her the respect of housemates.
There were no goodbye messages or housemate hand grenades from Alice or Travis. Big Brother hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O informed an evicted Travis that Alice had left her $50,000 to him, bringing his total to $100,000. Travis in turn gifted his share of the prize money to Rory who now holds $150,000 of the total $250,000 prize.
Unfortunately for Rory, it's assumed that the person who holds the most money going into the final day is ultimately irrelevant. One by one the final three will leave the Big Brother house, in turn leaving the full $250,000 for the last man, or woman, standing.
TV audience voters have until 7.45pm AEST tonight to vote to evict their least favourite housemate and it's not too late for Big Brother betters to have a punt. Terri remains the odds on favourite to take out the competition, paying $1.80, followed by Rory, offering $3.00, and Ben, paying $5.80.
