Serena will have her hands full against Victoria Azarenka

Azarenka knows what it feels like to be victorious against the multiple Grand Slam winner, having defeated the American in Miami back in 2009...

She's the overwhelming favourite to win the tournament and in her own Serena way she'll probably made it through thi match in the end but Ben's stats suggest she's worth taking on to win 2-0 against the dangerous Victoria Azarenka.

5 Reasons to Back

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (RUS) to defeat Jelena Jankovic (SRB) @ [2.52]

•Russian starlet Pavlyuchenkova comes into tonight's match against former World No. 1 Jelena Jankovic with an all-important 2-0 head-to-head series lead, furthermore, both wins were played out on hard-courts (Monterrey 2011, 2-6 6-2 6-3) and (Indian Wells 2009, 6-4 6-4) giving the Russian a distinct advantage before a ball has even been hit.

•The 20 year old has won five of her last six matches at the US Open and is 7-3 in Grand Slams; she reached the quarter finals at the French Open this year defeating Vera Zvonareva amongst others and made a fourth round appearance at Flushing Meadows a year ago.

•Anastasia is an explosive impact player who on her day can out-power the very best. If she can curb her unforced error rate (hit 42 unforced errors v Petra Martic) when she faces Jankovic tonight and hit above 60% of fist serves, she will be in with a shout.

•Jankovic, who is known for the frequency of her injury time outs on court, took a prolonged timeout against Jelena Dokic in the previous round to deal with a back injury. The issues with her back didn't help her movement around the court and if this problem resurfaces against Pavlychenkova, the Serbian is going to be in a lot more trouble.

•With one tournament on the hard-court surface under her belt this year (Monterrey) Pavlyuchenkova can also be buoyed by her overall tournament stats this year, winning 75% of matches in Grand Slams, 71% in the United States, 65% on hard-courts and 65% of her tie-breaks played

2-0 lay of the day - Lay Serena Williams 2-0 v Victoria Azarenka @ [1.60]

•Azarenka knows what it feels like to be victorious against the multiple Grand Slam winner, having defeated the American in Miami back in 2009; she was also a set up against Serena at the Australian Open 2009 before having to retire due to heat exhaustion. The Belarusian took a set off the powerful former No. 1 at last year's Australian Open.

•Ranked 24 places above her opponent, Azarenka has won eight of last nine matches in the United States, five of her last six on hard-courts and seven of her last eight in Slams

•The 22 year old has two tournament wins to her name this year, Miami and Marbella
