"As the World No. 3, Radwanksa is certainly not without a hope of snatching a set in this clash."
Serena Williams is the overwhelming favourite for the Wimbledon women's final, and while it's a tough ask for her opponent Agnieszka Radwanksa to beat her, Brad Thompson sees some value in the Betfair markets.
How could you back against Williams after her semi-final performance against Victoria Azarenka? She blasted a tournament record 24 aces, letting her powerful serve do all the work. Most ominously for Radwanksa is that Williams has continued to improve with each outing at the All-England club.
It all points to a Williams victory, but at the price of $1.19? No, thanks. There has to be some doubt over whether Williams can once again maintain a serve of the calibre she showed in the semi-final, and back it up under the pressure-cooker atmosphere of a final.
Even if she does, Radwanksa is a fantastic retriever of the ball, which should take the impact off Williams' lethal serve. As the World No. 3, Radwanksa is certainly not without a hope of snatching a set in this clash. Williams is ranked at No. 6 in the world, so it's hard to entertain taking the $1.19 for her in 'Match Odds' against an opponent ranked much higher.
$3.25 in 'Set Betting' for the clash to go to three sets is too good to pass up. Perhaps have something small on Radwanksa to cause an upset at $5.9, but focus on the three sets bet.
