Gasquet recently disposed of Murray on clay in the Rome Masters in straight sets

Andy Murray has shown resilience during the opening stages of the French Open, but Brad Thompson thinks it won't be enough to stop Richard Gasquet in tonight's fourth round clash.

Despite the Scot having the edge in rankings, the pair are all square (3-3) in their head-to-head record.

Murray's form in the first three round of the tournament has been patchy - losing an opening set to Jarrko Nieminen after being emphatic in two of three sets beating Japanese player Tatsuma Ito.

In the third round, he was too good for Santiago Giraldo, but it was a more even contest than the straight-sets victory portrays.

In contrast, Gasquet, the local, has been impressive in the early stages of the French Open, beating Tommy Haas in the third round after losing the first set.

Gasquet recently disposed of Murray on clay in the Rome Masters in straight sets, a good form reference to suggest he can score another upset on the clay where he boasts an 8-3 record.

Gasquet has been in great form on clay, losing to David Ferrer in the quarters in Rome, following a loss to Roger Federer, and then failing to Juan Martin Del Potro in the final at Estoril.
