Tango to trot to a win

Toorak Tango really doesn’t have a lot to beat here, with a couple of recent Gawler winners being his main threats.

Andy Morris has his eye on Toorak Tango, which could give punters a nice way to finish off the action at Angle Park on Wednesday (race 10, 2:42).

Janice Jones trains this promising entrant, and she clearly feels that he has plenty of improvement left in him judging by how he's gone at the track so far.

All but two of his 10 starts have come here, and though he's only won once over the track/distance, his last two outings have been pretty good.

He finished second to Full Embargo over the 515m trip on October 24, then battled gamely to be runner-up to Shamira's Son the following week.

He really doesn't have a lot to beat here, with a couple of recent Gawler winners being his main threats.

Lektra Luck, drawn in box one, won there on October 28 over 400m but was a disappointing sixth last time out. Aston Flynn was another one to taste victory at that track, but again he followed it with an ordinary effort next time out, when fourth behind Emerley Striker here last week.

Emerley Striker (box two) himself could be worth considering in this one, though he's likely to start as something of an outsider as this race is a step up in class.
