Sik em Max looks hard to oppose in race five (8.27), coming out of box eight where he should be able to stay in touch and make his move at the right time.
Andy Morris can identify two good reasons to get involved in the action at The Gardens on Wednesday in the form of Sik Em Max and Platinum Love.
The pair might start warm favourites, but there are good reasons for that, and punters would do well to consider them.
Sik Em Max, owned and trained by Terry Wrigley, looked back to his best after a month off when he won impressively here last week.
He looks hard to oppose in race five (8.27), coming out of box eight where he should be able to stay in touch and make his move at the right time.
Already a winner in two of his eight races before last week, the way he powered home in 22.57s for the 400m, beating Hot Imaging by nearly seven lengths, showed his potential.
Hot Imaging is probably his biggest rival again here.
Presumably his handler and part-owner Melvyn Daley thinks box one will allow him to put in the kind of performance he showed five days earlier over this track/distance when beating Ell For Lucy by 1.25l.
Jason Magri's Platinum Love goes for a fourth straight win in race seven (9.06).
He boasts 12 wins in his 43-race career, but has never raced over 600m here before.
That might give Rob's Charm, in box three, a decent chance as he has two wins in 12 starts over this trip.
