Roosters will crow again

The Roosters haven’t won consecutive matches all year, but they should put that right this weekend.

A week on from their fine win over the Dragons, the Roosters, and Andy Morris with them, will be full of confidence when they tackle the Sharks at the SFS on Saturday.

They have a clear lead in the all-time series, with 53 wins to 27, though they were well beaten last time they met as the Sharks won 18-4 at Toyota Stadium in Round 10.

What the win over the Dragons showed is that the Roosters respond well to adversity - few expected them to be able to cope with the defending premiers in the wake of the Carney-Myles-Nuuausala dramas.

However, they not only won but also kept the Dragons scoreless for the second half, which is no mean feat.

Cronulla has seven wins and 14 defeats to this point, which is about where most pundits predicted them to be.

Skipper Paul Gallen is battling on bravely, despite a calf injury severely limiting his movement. In a losing effort against the Bulldogs last week, he produced a 200m effort and made 32 tackles.

The Roosters haven't won consecutive matches all year, but they should put that right this weekend.

The Roosters are 1.63 in match odds betting, while the Sharks can be backed at 2.3.
