The Kiwi galloper has seemingly come up with the perfect draw in barrier one
With top hoop Kerrin McEvoy making the trek west, Brad Thompson is following the lead and tipping He's Remarkable as a big chance in the $1million Railway Stakes (1600m) at Ascot on Saturday.
In the headline event on Super Saturday for the Perth Summer Racing Carnival, McEvoy teams up with impressive last-start winner, Roger James-trained He's Remarkable (7.0).
The Kiwi galloper has seemingly come up with the perfect draw in barrier one, with the early speed of in-form Westriver Kevydonn (19.0) just to his outside in gate two.
That equation should ensure a hassle-free run on the rails for McEvoy, provided he is mindful of avoiding getting cluttered up on the rail when the field fans out wide on the turn.
The son of Pentire heads to Perth on the back of a strong effort with 59kg in an unsuitably run race, when, also in arguably inferior ground, winning over the mile on Emirates Stakes day at Flemington.
McEvoy has stated He's Remarkable "fits the profile" of a Railway Stakes winner, and the drop in weight - back from 59kg to just 53kg - should be ideal.
He's Remarkable is currently at attractive odds of $7.0 on Betfair, and is likely to be well supported before the jump.
