A lucky Betfair punter has landed the result of a lifetime, turning a $25 investment into a collect of $54564.75 thanks to Betfair's fixed odds multi product.

In one of the most extraordinary stories of the year, the punter has successfully landed a 10-leg multi across AFL, NRL and Super Rugby to seal a life-changing collect.

It would have been a torturous Saturday night on the couch for the brave punter, who needed a late try by the Wests Tigers to beat the Panthers by more than 6.5 points ($1.58) and a hard-fought, upset win by North Queensland over Melbourne by between 1 and 12 points ($4.05).

Capping it all off was the extraordinary, after-the-siren goal by rugby league convert Karmichael Hunt, which gave the Gold Coast Suns a two-point win over Richmond and ensured the multi remained alive, thanks to the $7.50 option of a Suns victory by between 1 and 39 points.

The final leg of the bet wasn't such a hard grind with Hawthorn easily covering the 40 point start ($1.55) to defeat the Western Bulldogs by 72.
