Sweden are winless in six against Japan, losing four, including each of the last two.
Looking over the women's Soccer schedule at the Olympics, Michael Lintorn has picked out a bet for Japan, Great Britain and France...
Japan v Sweden
Saturday's most intriguing match - and in fact the only one that doesn't feature a favourite rated at 1.67 or shorter - pits world champions Japan against a nation who reached the semi-finals of that tournament and the last Olympics, Sweden. The Scandinavians were more convincing in their Group F opener, thrashing South Africa 4-1 as Japan beat Canada 2-1, but Japan appear to be their bogey team. Sweden are winless in six against Japan, losing four, including each of the last two - one of which was a World Cup semi-final.
Best Bet: Japan to win @ Betfair odds of (2.3)
Great Britain v Cameroon
Hope Powell's side didn't really look like gold-medal contenders in their first competitive outing against New Zealand, despite doing enough to earn a 1-0 victory. They should face an even more straight-forward task this time out at the Millennium Stadium against a team who were shown up 5-0 by Group E favourites Brazil on Wednesday. Great Britain have shut out both Sweden (in a friendly) and New Zealand, continuing Powell's England's three-game streak without conceding, so shouldn't be tested too severely by Cameroon.
Best Bet: Back Great Britain to keep a clean sheet @ Betfair odds of (1.71)
France v North Korea
Even after their defeat to holders and favourites USA, France are expected to make the knockout stages, but it is important that they bounce back with three points here to swerve the irritation of a nervy finale. North Korea started with a 2-0 triumph over Colombia overshadowed somewhat by the now infamous flag error, however this is a far tougher challenge. Prior to their USA setback, France had won 17 successive matches, confirming their status as the emerging force in the women's game having reached the World Cup semi-finals.
Best Bet: Back France to win @ Betfair odds of (1.67)
