If Inglis is allowed time and space, there will be no sequel to that round one mini-miracle.
Despite a gutsy draw last week for the Roosters, David Murdoch predicts the Bunnies will be crowing at the end of Monday night NRL.
Buoyed by their draw against the top-four Sharks on Monday night, six wins from their last eight matches doesn't seem like a discarded screenplay from Bondi Rescue for the Roosters.
The Bondi boys have already played out that script, scoring two tries in two minutes to snatch their round one clash at the death.
Anthony Minichello produced a starring role to break the Bunnies' hearts on that occasion and has gone on defy the critics this year, which will surely earn him a nomination for the captaincy next season.
Mini, however, doesn't get top billing when you compare the custodians as he goes head to head with the rampaging Greg Inglis.
If Inglis is allowed time and space, there will be no sequel to that round one mini-miracle.
While there appears to be light years between these two teams - there is certainly a chasm as far as ladder positioning is concerned - the Roosters have a pretty good record against the Bunnies, winning four of their last five matches against South Sydney.
That's pretty much where the favourable comparisons end for the Bondi Boys. Sydney has lost four of their last five matches at Sydney Football Stadium and their last three by an average of 25 points.
While the Roosters have lost five of their last six, the Bunnies have won seven of their last nine and just as the Sharks should have put them away last Monday Night, South Sydney too must dispose of their old foes if they are to be considered a serious title contender.
The Bunnies appear to have the ascendancy up front as Jared Waerea-Hargreaves' suspension looks set to hit the Roosters harder than the shot he put on Ben Ross.
Watch for Michael Crocker around the fringes: the former Rooster always turns in a top-shelf performance when lining up against his old club.
