More Flavour in outsider

...her half-sister Flavours represents the better value.

There's plenty of exciting racing in store at Wentworth Park on Saturday, with Andy Morris ready to be glued to several heats of the Vic Peters Classic.

It's always a keenly contested event and there are some outstanding candidates right from the word go.

Heat one (race 2, 7.53) sees Lochinvar Manolo in action, with punters eager to see whether she can repeat the form of her first two outings. She won over 515m at The Gardens in July and August, the second time holding off Penthouse by three lengths in a time of 29.53.

However, when she came up against Penthouse again last month she was well beaten, finishing fifth, so perhaps she is best treated with some caution ere.

She might well start favourite, but her half-sister Flavours represents the better value.

Her last three starts have come from inside draws, so it will be interesting to see how she goes from box eight. A winner in four of her eight starts, she has already won some $28,000 for connections.

Another interesting race is heat three (race 4, 8.38), where once again the winner could come from the outside box.

Moonshine Sally, owned and trained by David Pringle, won both of her first two starts - by 10 and 16 lengths - so there's every reason to believe she can score here. She fell last time out, on October 10, but that shouldn't be a worry for punters.
