Virender Sehwag and Warner are the new opening pair

Ed Hawkins previews the contest between the Deccan Chargers and Delhi Daredevils in Hyderabad.

Deccan
Deccan, with two wins over a now hopeless Pune Warriors in three games, must have thought they were on for a revival. They were wrong. They have lost their last four. JP Duminy and Dale Steyn were both dropped for the defeat by King's XI.

Delhi
Delhi are smarting from the loss against Kolkata Knight Riders that cost them top spot. They are also smarting after Kevin Pietersen returned home. Still, David Warner is more than an adequate replacement.

Venue and conditions
This is only the second match Deccan have played at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in two seasons so there is little to work with. The pitch looked pretty good for batting against King's XI, however, so it will be no surprise if 160 is breached.

Match odds
This is one of those infuriating mismatches which can make the tournament seem interminable. Delhi are no better than 1.56 with Deccan 2.44. One doesn't need to be an expert to reckon, or hope, that the hosts may be able to get a foothold for long enough to take a trade, but it is hardly an inspiring wager.

Top Deccan bat
Deccan are now opening with Daniel Harris, the Australian, and have also moved Kumar Sangakkara down to No 5. Parthiv Patel is at three. Harris top-scored against King's XI last time out.

Top Delhi bat
Virender Sehwag and Warner are the new opening pair. Mahela Jayawardene is slated for No 3. In the previous meeting, Pietersen smashed his first T20 century as Delhi won by five wickets.
