W.S Cox Plate - to win - Whobegotyou

Whobegotyou might not provide the best of value, but looks the likely winner here.
Barrier 10 looks okay for him - probably better than an inside gate. He will have plenty of galloping room and champion hoop Damien Oliver knows how to win this race. And of course there is Whobegotyour's stellar Moonee Valley record of four starts, four wins.

One of those victories was over this trip in the AAMI Vase exactly 12 months ago and each of the wins have been by impressive margins - including the Feehan Stakes, another great Cox Plate lead up, by a length.

W.S Cox Plate - each way - El Segundo

Should the horse carrying the number 1 saddlecloth - El Segundo - win, there will be a mighty roar.

And he is no mere sentimental chance - indeed a worthy rival to the favourites. He loves Moonee Valley, recording four victories at the track including the 2007 Cox Plate. Also second to Fields Of Omagh the year before, he has similar lead up form to the year he won - right down to a fairly averaging showing in the Turnbull.
