Horse Betting: No Maybes about a win in Guineas

Mashoora is my idea of the biggest threat to Maybe though, although I do think that a mile is the absolute limit of her stamina.
Ryan Moore expects Maybe to be the horse to beat in the Newmarket (UK) 1000 Guineas.
The ratings may suggest otherwise but this doesn't look a vintage 1,000 Guineas to me and Maybe looks a very worthy favourite; I would say she is far more solid at the price than Camelot.
She is far more experienced, has no question marks against her and is basically rock solid.
Even if the ground has dried up by Sunday afternoon, it wouldn't matter because the filly acts on any ground. She won on firm ground on her debut and then I rode her when she beat the colts very impressively in the Chesham over 7f on soft ground at Royal Ascot. Then she went over to Ireland and progressed to win a Group 3, Group 2 and ended up winning the Group 1 Moyglare.
She is a nice size of filly, in proportion, and I don't see the track or trip being a problem at all.
Granted on form she doesn't have too much in hand on some of these - although I think that is misleading as she does just enough and will never be wildly impressive - as the Godolphin pair of Sweet Solera winner Discourse and Fillies Mile winner Lyric Of Light are also unbeaten fillies open to improvement.
You can pick holes in Lyric Of Light's form, though, and while I think Discourse is possibly the better of the two the fact that she has been off the course for so long suggests she hasn't been the easiest to train.
I much prefer the chances of Mashoora. And Moonstone Magic, if it stays soft. If I was the owner, I would have paid 30,000 guineas to supplement her too.
Not many horses have the ability to go from winning a maiden to a Guineas trial and the big one in little over three weeks, but I could see Moonstone Magic doing it. I rode Best Terms in the Fred Darling and you could not have been anything over than deeply impressed by the manner of her sweeping Newbury win.
Mashoora is my idea of the biggest threat to Maybe though, although I do think that a mile is the absolute limit of her stamina.
I ride Homecoming Queen and she looks to have about 10lb to find with the principals.
But I have seen worse 40-1 shots, not least the fact that she is trained by Aidan. She is probably the most exposed in the field but won the Leopardstown Guineas Trial on her reappearance, showing improved form to beat dual Group 1 runner-up Fire Lily and is proven on any ground, so has an outside place chance.
