...from ten starts at Moonee Valley, Philda boasts five victories.

Ben Asgari believes it will be a case of 'horses for courses' at Moonee Valley on Saturday where he predicts the Mick Kent-trained Philda can break back into the winner's stall.

Despite having amassed over $400,000 in prize money, with twelve wins from forty seven career starts, it is significant that since winning at Moonee Valley at career-start number twenty-one, Philda is zero from seventeen away from his favourite track.

Conversely, from ten starts at Moonee Valley, Philda boasts five victories, including a win over December Draw last August and a win over this track and distance in June 2011.

Surely 'too bad to be true' at his latest effort when beaten thirty lengths into second-last behind Banca Mo at Flemington, his previous three runs this preparation were more than satisfactory to suggest he was on track once he got back to Moonee Valley.

Drawn in barrier five for champion jockey Craig Williams, Williams should be able to control the tempo in front with the only other potential leader, Stoneblack, likely to cross forward and sit outside the lead.

At his absolute best when able to dictate his own terms at Moonee Valley, Philda looks a great bet on Saturday.
