Vainglory, which finished behind Trade Commissioner at both Sandown and Salisbury, will now take his place in the line-up.

Trade Commissioner, prominent in the ante-post market for the Friday's Betfred Mile at Glorious Goodwood, will miss the race...

Trade Commissioner has won three of his five racecourse starts and remains unbeaten over the mile trip, with recent victories having come at Sandown and Salisbury.

The Timeform 116p rated runner looked a pattern performer in the making when seen at Salisbury on his penultimate start, travelling extremely well before quickening clear of potentially useful rivals to go on to score by four and a half lengths and he confirmed that impression last time.

There were a few next time out winners in behind on that occasion, including Fulbright, the form looking particularly strong from that race, but Trade Commissioner will now miss his intended target on Friday after reportedly failing to eat-up.

His late defection means that Vainglory, which finished behind Trade Commissioner at both Sandown and Salisbury, will now take his place in the line-up.

Captain BertiePrince of Johanne and Fulbright head the revised market for the Betfred Mile, the last named also heading the Timeform weight-adjusted ratings for the contest.
