Brad Thompson predicts that Sizzling can keep the Magic Millions 2yo Classic trophy in his home state of Queensland.

Sizzling appears one of few chances that will relish a strongly run 1200m, after finishing second at his past two starts, rocketing home from the rear of the field at Listed and Group 3 level.

With the pace on up front on Saturday, if Sizzling is within three lengths of the lead at the top of the straight, he should be able to reel in the front-runners.

Wood toyed with the prospect of an 11th-hour addition of blinkers to coax the $260,000 yearling purchase into racing closer to the speed.

But it's likely to be a hot speed, with connections not wanting to die wondering in such a rich event, meaning the backmarkers should have every chance in the race.
