Now that Brisbane Roar are off the top of the table, Andy Morris believes their M1 derby against Gold Coast United takes on extra significance.

Brisbane haven't had the best of luck overall against United, with just two wins in seven meetings, but their last clash was decisive, with a 3-0 win in October.

Whether you can read much into the fact that Brisbane have yet to win on Boxing Day is one thing, but their four defeats on the trot are certainly cause for concern.

Despite being bottom of the league, Miron Bleiberg's United will feel confident of picking up a win here, despite an untimely injury to stopper Glen Moss. The keeper is out for two months with a bad muscle tear.

The Roar, beaten 2-1 at home by the Mariners last time out, have four injury doubts and neither Thomas Broich or James Meyer are rated likely to play.

Brisbane's bubble has well and truly burst after they went 36 games without defeat, and with Gold Coast in good spirits after beating Adelaide 3-0, this could well be a home win.
