The Man City skipper, who was sent off the last time these two sides met, was matched at 60.0 in the First Goalscorer market.

Manchester City move into 1.5 favourites for the Premier League title after beating fierce rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Derby.

Man City were matched at 40.0 just two weeks ago but now they are available to back at just 1.5 to win the Premier League title after beating rivals United at a deafening Etihad Stadium on Monday night.

Billed as a title decider, the game was frantic from the start but was short on clear cut scoring chances. It wasn't until the stroke of half time that the home side went ahead when the United defence were caught napping at a corner allowing Vincent Kompany to head home from short range.

The Man City skipper, who was sent off the last time these two sides met, was matched at 60.0 in the First Goalscorer market.

United huffed and puffed in the second half but they rarely threatened a strong City back four and it should have been the home side that doubled their lead as the full-time whistle approached. But there were to be no further goals as City comfortably held on to a priceless victory. The 1-0 Correct Score was matched at 12.0, whilst the Under 1.5 Goals option was backed at 5.2 In-Play.

The two Manchester clubs are now lever on points but with City having a much better goal difference it is they who Betfair punters believe will now win the title.

Next up for Roberto Mancini's men is an away trip to high-flying Newcastle on Sunday, whilst United - who can now be backed at 3.0 to retain their title - host Swansea on the same day.
