Brad Thompson can see some class at a decent price coming to the fore when Galah contests the Group Two Sandown Guineas (1600m) at Betfair Park on Saturday.
The team at the Darley operations, headlined by trainer Peter Snowden, have had no reservations publicly airing their big opinion of Galah, despite admitting he is going to improve with maturity.
Galah has already forged a handy record, with four wins from five starts, and despite not being fully able to handle softish ground in some races he has contested, is likely to encounter nothing worse than a Dead (5) for the Sandown Guineas.
After making a huge impression with a bias-defying win in the Listed Gothic Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield, he raced a touch flat, but still won in the last bound in the Group Three Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on Derby Day.
While it could have been assumed that his most recent performance showed he was looking for the paddock, or even further, it's important to trust the decision of his shrewd trainer to press to the Guineas.

Galah is currently trading at $3.05, but patient punters are likely to be able to take up odds closer to $4 as slight rallies come for what appears an open line-up.
While Galah has been in the shadow of star stablemates Sepoy and Helmet, this is his chance to anoint himself as one of the gallopers to watch next season here.
