The Clippers are the better team and should have too many offensive options for the Magic to contend with
When the LA Clippers travel to Orlando for the teams only meeting this season, although Orlando hold a nine-match winning streak against the Clippers, Matthew Reid fully expects that streak to end.
The Clippers are entering a road-heavy stretch of their season schedule after playing a high percentage of their early season games at home. (This game represents number two of six in a row on the road.) They easily accounted for Washington to open up the trip and carry some strong form into this one, having won five of their last six games, coinciding with Chris Paul's return from a hamstring injury.
Orlando seems to be treading water at the moment. They take care of the weaker teams they play, but have laid some enormous eggs as well. In the last two weeks they have failed to score 70 points in a match three times, and on one of those occasions didn't even break the 60-point barrier against Boston.
Dwight Howard and Ryan Anderson are the only members of the team playing at a consistently decent level for the Magic and their guards in particular have struggled. Jameer Nelson is doubtful for this match, which will make the task of containing Chris Paul and Mo Williams an extremely difficult one.
With the match being played in Orlando, the price of around 1.9 on LA is great value.
The Clippers are the better team and should have too many offensive options for the Magic to contend with. Their recent loss to Denver appears to have served as a wake-up call, so look for them to continue to build their momentum with a win against the Magic.
