Carrie has been backed in from $3.10 since the market opened.
It's Australia's chance to vote for their favourite television personality, and the punters are 'Projecting' it will be a lady we will be raising our glasses to when the Gold Logie is announced.
Network Ten personality Carrie Bickmore is the Betfair punters pick to win Australian television's highest individual award, the Gold Logie, at tonight's awards ceremony in Melbourne.
Punters on Betfair have installed The Project host as the $2.00 favourite to be named as our most popular TV personality for the first time.
There has been a groundswell of public support for Bickmore to win Gold and the Betfair punters have followed that up with weight of money.
Carrie has been backed in from $3.10 since the market opened, which suggests the public is convinced she will become Network Ten's first Gold Logie winner since Rove McManus in 2005.
Last years' winner, Today Show host Karl Stefanovic, is given a chance of taking home the Gold gong again as the second favourite at $2.52 ahead of comedian Hamish Blake at $3.00
Blake has been backed at a top price of $15 and has been a significant mover down to $3.00.
Asher Keddie ($5.00) Adam Hills ($15.00) and Esther Anderson ($30.00) are the outsiders in Betfair's Gold Logie winner market.
In an interesting quirk, Nine's Stefanovic is favourite to be named as most popular presenter at $1.75, ahead of Bickmore at $2.50.
Offspring leading lady Keddie, and Packed to the Rafters star Hugh Sheridan are considered near certainties to be named most popular actress and actor respectively, with both at virtually unbackable odds.
