The final leg, the Betfair Multiples Handicap Chase over three miles, could centre around two horses returning from a long absence.

Adam Brookes feels it's only fair to offer his slant on which horses might offer the best combination for punters wanting to cash in big time and pick all six of the Scoop 6 race winners this Saturday across meets in the UK.

Haydock 13:55
A strong pace is to be expected in the first leg, with several front-runners in the line-up. So, with that in mind, Eyre Square and Gurtacrue are the ones to have on side. Eyre Square has developed as both a hurdler and chaser in the last few seasons and arrives on the back of another career-best, while point/bumper winner Gurtacrue did well over inadequate trips as a novice last season and made an encouraging chase debut in a maiden at Chepstow last month.

Selections: 6, 7

The betfair.com/paulnicholls "Fixed Brush" Handicap Hurdle is always a very competitive race and likely to prove even more so now it's been upgraded to Grade 3 status. Global Power, which is one of Timeform's 'Horses To Follow' this season, finished a place ahead of Robinson Collonges when second in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle on his return, and with the trip likely to prove within his compass, he's the first on the shortlist. In such an open race it will pay to take at least a couple more so the aforementioned top-rated Robinson Collonges and Across The Bay, which shaped like an improved performer for Donald McCain on his reappearance and would be a danger to all if coming on for that run, are also both in.

Selections: 10, 12, 16

Lingfield 15:00
Lenny Bee came back to form on his first start for Deborah Sanderson at Southwell last time and holds every chance of posting a fourth career success if converting that fibresand form to Lingfield's polytrack. While connections may be wise to the worrying amount of pace in the race, and will consequently ride Lenny Bee less prominently than is often the case, it may pay to play a wildcard in the shape of dual course winner Waabel, who it's hoped will be picking up the pieces late.

Selections: 4, 8

Haydock 15:05
While there's no doubt that the lion's share of race-goers will be cheering on 14-time Grade 1 winner Kauto Star for a fairytale victory in a high-quality renewal of the Betfair Chase, the cold hard facts suggest the eleven-year-old will have a stiff task in trying to surpress fellow Gold Cup winner Long Run. While Long Run did meet with his only reverse last season when making his reappearance, his subsequent climb to the head of the chasing ranks firmly suggests the same scenario won't transpire this time around and he simply has to get the vote. Weird Al joins Kauto Star next best on the ratings but Diamond Harry, who isn't far behind, has the greater potential for improvement and is the one for the forecast.

Selection: 3

Ascot 15:20
Although the four that finished immediately behind Anquetta in a course-and-distance handicap chase last month take him on again, there's no reason why he shouldn't confirm his dominance. However, it could be another race that proves key to solving the Carey Group Handicap Chase as both I'msingingtheblues (third) and Rileyev (sixth) shaped well when running in the same contest at Cheltenham last time. David Pipe's runner heads the Timeform ratings but, for all his consistency, he isn't the most frequent winner, so taking the last-named too is essential.

Selections: 4, 11

Haydock 15:40
The final leg, the Betfair Multiples Handicap Chase over three miles, could centre around two horses returning from a long absence. Tamarinbleu was a high-class chaser on his day (second in 2008 Betfair Chase), and although into the veteran stage now, has a good record fresh and returns potentially well handicapped for a yard firing on all cylinders. The other on the comeback trail is Cappa Bleu, which will be a big danger if recapturing the form that saw him the 2009 Foxhunters at Cheltenham.
