Plenty to get excited about, then, in a contest which sees the Crows a 1.42 favourite in match odds betting, while the Tigers are available at 3.25.
There might not seem much riding on the clash between Adelaide and Richmond, but the respective teams don't feel that way and Andy Morris expects a hard fought game.
Adelaide have won three out of four since Mark Bickley took over as coach, which seems to suggest the move was well-timed.
It certainly helped that those opponents were Gold Coast, Brisbane and Port Adelaide.
Though they were beaten, the fact that they held Geelong to an 11-point victory two weeks ago at AAMI Stadium is perhaps a more indicative result.
Richmond, having missed out on the finals, pledged to finish the year on a high in their last four games.
So far so good, with them picking up back-to-back wins over Sydney and Melbourne.
Last week's win over the Demons spoke much of their character as they kicked on again once Melbourne, behind by 26 points at half-time, had fought back to lead by eight into the last break.
Scott Thompson was on fire for Adelaide last round, with 51 possessions against the Suns. This week he should line up against Richmond's Shane Tuck, who is averaging 23.4 disposals per game in the last four matches.
