Hawthorn should certainly win this.
In what many are calling the game of the season, Nick Tedeschi is predicting some more Buddy brilliance from the boys in gold and brown.
HAWTHORN (v Carlton)
3 units at match odds of $1.55 or better
In the most salivating clash of the round, Hawthorn and Carlton do battle at Etihad Stadium with a top four berth riding on the outcome.
Hawthorn should certainly win this. Carlton return to Melbourne after a tough trip to Perth, while the Hawks thumped a dispirited Port Adelaide team last Saturday. That victory over Port helped run the likes of Buddy Franklin and Cyril Rioli into even better form.
The Hawks have won 12 of 14 against the Blues and have lost only one of eight away from the MCG this year.
The Blues are playing well but the Hawks are a better team who should prove too strong in the forward 50 for a weakened Carlton defence.
ST KILDA (v Sydney)
2.5 units at match odds of $1.50 or better
The Swans were insipid against Richmond on Sunday, showing little commitment and worse execution in a loss that will long be remembered for its awfulness by the Swans faithful.
The Saints also lost in round 21 but went down by only 19 points to the all-conquering Collingwood in a respectable showing. Ross Lyon's men have not lost to a team outside the top-four since round six and have won eight of 11 against the Swans, including the last two in Sydney.
With the Swans winning only two of their last eight at ANZ Stadium and kicking abysmally, it looks like the Saints' pressure will prove too strong.

RICHMOND (v Melbourne)

It was a mighty win for Richmond on Sunday, overcoming a finals-bound rival, who always gets the best of them, by 43 points in a scintillating display at the MCG.
On that form, they will smoke a Melbourne team that has been in disarray since losing by 186 points to Geelong, firing coach Dean Bailey and suffering heavy defeats at the hands of Carlton and West Coast.
The Dees have won four of five against Richmond but the Tigers are going far too well to lose here based on last Sunday's form.
