Feathers will fly

...it’s the Pies who are likely to be celebrating this weekend.

Going on last week's results, Andy Morris wouldn't blame anyone for thinking it would be a no-brainer that West Coast will beat Collingwood this weekend.

But it's not as clear-cut as that.

The Eagles go into the game on the back of a 95-point thrashing of Adelaide at Patersons Stadium.

Conversely, the Pies lost by 96 points to Geelong, albeit in a match they cared little about, with the minor premiership already secured.

Even if last week's form is not enough to suggest West Coast will come out on top, it's likely to be a lot closer than their last meeting in round 10 at the MCG when the Magpies won by 52 points as they restricted the Eagles to just seven goals.

For Collingwood, a fitness cloud hangs over Chris Tarrant (ankle). If he is fit, he could have a big say in the match. Leon Davis, who missed the Cats game with a hamstring problem, should return.

In the Eagles camp, coach John Worsfold is sweating on the fitness of star midfielder Daniel Kerr (back).

The Eagles hope their attack can shine on the big stage - Josh Kennedy, Quinten Lynch, Jack Darling and pinch-hitting forward Dean Cox have combined to kick 114 goals this season.

But it's the Pies who are likely to be celebrating this weekend.

Collingwood are 1.24 in match odds betting, while you can back the Eagles at 5.0.
