Dogs to take it up to Hawks
AFL

Hawthorn should prove too strong over four quarters, but the Bulldogs can certainly pinch a half-time lead here.
A whisker away from the finals series, Nick T gives his low-down on the penultimate round of the 2011 AFL season.
WESTERN BULLDOGS (v Hawthorn)
1 unit at half-time odds of $3.00 or better
There is no doubt Hawthorn are one of the form teams of the AFL, and with the Western Bulldogs out of the running, there is every chance Clarko's men could put the touch-up on the Paul Williams-led Dogs.
But the infusion of youth into the Bulldogs team should see them jump the gates against the Hawks, a team they have won six of their last 10 against.
The Dogs have won only one of five at the MCG, but they were smooth in destroying Port Adelaide and will likely play this game with the freedom that elimination from the finals race and a new coach provides.

ST KILDA (v North Melbourne)
2 units at match odds of $1.65 or better
The Kangaroos are flying, winning seven of their last 11 (losing only to top-five teams in that time), but are a class below St Kilda, who are set to shake things up come September.
The worst thing that could happen to the Kangaroos was St Kilda losing in Sydney last week. They will be uber-focussed this weekend, and after winning 10 of the last 13 against North, Ross Lyon's men should prove far too strong for a Roos team just a little off the mark this year.

RICHMOND (v Adelaide)
1.5 units at match odds of $2.60 or better
The betting in this contest is just wrong, based on opening prices.
It defies belief that Richmond have come up in excess of $3.00 against Adelaide, a team who has only recently fired their coach. The Tigers were impressive on Sunday against Melbourne for three quarters and showed enough will in the end to get away with a seven-point victory. It made it two on the trot for the Tiges after a big win against Sydney.
Richmond don't have a good record against Adelaide, winning only two of 15 against the Crows and not winning against them at Football Park since 1999, but considering the form of both teams, the betting should be much closer.
