Eagles to secure top four

The Eagles will secure a double chance with victory here...

West Coast have scored more than 100 points in each of their last four games, and are in good spirits ahead of the clash with the Lions where Andy Morris expects them to win with ease.

The Eagles have had the wood over Brisbane, winning 26 of the 38 fixtures, though the Lions did win the last meeting by five points in round 19 last year.

Brisbane are without seven players, not only for this game but the rest of the season.

The Eagles will give Daniel Kerr, Jack Darling, Sam Butler and Brett Jones fitness tests.

West Coast have been very impressive at Patersons Stadium recently, kicking 20+ goals in each of their last two games there. But they can also win on the road, and visiting the Gabba won't worry them unduly even though history shows they haven't won there since 2006.

It's difficult to know what to make of the Lions in the past fortnight. Their 62-point win two weeks ago against the Suns was expected, ditto the loss to Collingwood last time out.

Brisbane have been competitive in most of their home games this season, though the record shows they have only won three of their 11 games there.

The Eagles will secure a double chance with victory here, where they are 1.33 in match odds betting, with Brisbane at 3.85.
