2nd Test preview by Damien Fleming

The Windies batsman will enjoy the traditional lifeless pitch in the city of churches in the second Test match starting today. Plenty runs on the menu for batsman on both sides.

The Aussies will come through the victors to take a 2 nil lead in the series

Give a thought for the young West Indies attack ready to give there all for their team. In Adelaide Australia's top order have some unbelievable records in Adelaide The captain Ricky Ponting has played 13 tests there and averages 62.59 with 5 hundreds and a best score of 242. His classy vice captain averages 95 runs per innings with 3 hundreds in just 4 Tests. Mr Cricket tucks in as well averaging a whopping 135 and there is no ease up as you get to number 7. Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin has played one test in Adelaide last year and plundered 169 vs. New Zealand.

Great opportunity to self professed "Loud and obnoxious" New south Wales Left arm swing bowler gets a chance to play as Ben Hilfenhaus who was man of the match in the Gabba test is out with Knee tendinitis. Dougy is in rare form taking wickets with ease in the recent Indian series and took 8 wickets for NSW in the recent Sheffield shield game vs. WA he should take a bag here with his pace and ability to swing the new and old ball.

Les Burdett should be making another batsman friendly pitch and I expect a more resilient effort from the Windies top order Gayle, Sarwon and Chanderpaul taking the Test in to late day 4 or even early day 5 where the Aussies will come through the victors to take a 2 nil lead in the series.
